CHALLENGE

As the Managing Director and founder of PwC’s U.S. Leadership Coaching Center of Excellence, DeAnne Aussem was already a well-established thought leader when she partnered with Fenton. In speaking to business leaders around the country, DeAnne knew that her message to be “human first” in the workplace — at a time of rising workplace stress and burnout — was ready for a bigger stage. With a very small following on social media and little media experience speaking, DeAnne knew she needed a partner to launch her to the next level.

APPROACH

Fenton’s digital-first strategy began with drafting DeAnne’s messaging and core content pillars, identifying reputable business leaders, and posting content weekly to consistently share her voice and perspectives. Finally, we aligned DeAnne’s communications strategy with larger business goals: employee well-being, inclusivity, evolving workplace expectations and purpose as a business driver. Once her social media and written thought leadership evolved, Fenton turned to speaking events and media. Our editorial calendar tracked key company milestones and leveraged major news moments. We pitched journalists, drafted op-eds and articles, and placed her on podcasts. Fenton also identified speaking and conference opportunities that aligned with DeAnne’s message and key audiences.
