Overview
We’re looking for a Video Production Director in either NY or DC, to join our Creative Production team. This role will lead video projects from concept through post-production, including on-the-ground shoots. You’ll collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality visual storytelling for our clients across a range of video outputs. This is a fast-paced role with a lot of variety and momentum, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, managing different projects and deadlines with confidence. The ideal candidate has experience in social impact storytelling and strong skills in managing the production process to ensure exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Produce and direct on-location shoots – hire and manage crew, lead pre-production meetings, prepare talent, conduct interviews, and oversee client relationships.
- Edit across diverse formats and styles – including anthem, social media, advertising, documentary, and testimonial.
- Color and audio finishing – Apply advanced color correction, audio mixing, and post-production polishing to ensure consistency, clarity, and high-quality output across all deliverables.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders – With clients and with the production, creative, and account teams to deliver cohesive work.
- Contribute to creative strategy – Translate client-approved messaging and campaign direction into impactful, story-driven videos. This includes original creative briefs with script samples and storyboards.
- Manage production projects and teams – Oversee production timelines, budgets, and team workflows to keep projects on track and within scope.
- Strengthen and evolve production systems – track projects efficiently, maintain strong communication between internal teams and the client, and continuously refine workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of relevant production and post production experience delivering the highest-quality work, in a client facing capacity
- Expertise editing using Adobe Cloud Creative suite and other industry-standard editing tools (e.g. Premiere, After Effects, Audition, DaVinci Resolve)
- Advanced skills in color correction and grading, with strong attention to consistency and visual quality
- Proficiency in following brand guidelines and transforming brands and branded content into impactful video storytelling
- A strong sense for visual storytelling and a keen eye for detail and continuity
- Detailed-oriented, comfortable working in collaborative cross-departmental environments and developing procedures that clearly communicate production needs
- Confidence and experience presenting creative concepts and video work directly to clients and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully work on multiple projects at once
- Critical thinking and creative problem solving
- Ability to successfully work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience using project management tools to track tasks, manage timelines, and support team coordination
- Knowledge of accessibility standards as they relate to video production
- A background in impact or documentary filmmaking is a bonus

- We have adopted a hybrid remote/in-office worksite model. We require all employees to live within a 35-mile radius of any one of our four strategic hubs (New York, D.C., LA or SF). You have the option to work remotely from your home and will travel to Company meetings/events as needed, or you can work from any one of our shared workspaces.
