W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF)
We have provided a series of communications trainings and coaching to better enable nonprofit organizations to become more effective advocates on behalf of children and families and have helped the New Mexico Center for Law and Poverty with a communications strategy to support the largest education lawsuit ever filed against the State of New Mexico. Finally, Fenton is providing comprehensive communications support to Battle Creek Public Schools to help achieve their vision of ensuring every child receives a quality education and an opportunity to succeed.
Fenton developed a narrative that successfully described NMHEP’s story about developing the infrastructure of organizations and communities so residents and groups with few resources can advocate for better living conditions.
Fenton developed and implemented a comprehensive communications strategy to support key advocacy groups who were filing an historic lawsuit against the State of New Mexico for failing to fulfill its constitutional responsibility to provide public schools the resources they need to promote the success of all children.
Fenton conducted highly interactive group workshops around communications planning, message development, storytelling, media relations and spokesperson training and digital media. We supported WKKF in everything from developing a communications plan to practicing on-camera for a mock media interview.
Fenton interviewed and developed stories of grantee partners in New Mexico to demonstrate their impact and tangible benefit to the community. We profiled beneficiaries and demonstrated how support from WKKF helped them address and overcome challenges in their lives.
Fenton is implementing a robust communications plan to rebuild trust between the district, its community and its staff as part of WKKF’s landmark investment to transform Battle Creek Public Schools. Our work centers on engaging and informing the district’s key audiences through transparent and continuous communications about the transformation and its progress.
