Senior Vice President Creative

NY, DC, LA or SF

Fenton, the national leader in social purpose communications, seeks a creative leader with a passion for social change. In this leadership role, you will oversee and provide stewardship of a team of creative talent working with clients who share Fenton’s progressive social perspective, working closely with accounts to drive creative strategy and shape cutting edge campaigns. Additionally, you will lead new business development for creative services, drawing from your own networks and working with our sales team to pursue new prospects.
  
You will be required to maintain excellence in the department’s creative output, including developing concepts for integrated advertising campaigns, leading branding and visual identity work, developing multimedia assets for social media including video production, and more.
  
The ideal candidate will:

Have an entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated business acquisition experience

  • Be able to manage the creative process from research and strategy to ideation and execution
  • Know how to collaborate with account strategists, including for digital-first campaigns
  • Contribute successfully to the leadership team for agency’s guidance
  • Manage time and resources to produce excellent results

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Between 8 -12 years of experience (preferably within a public relations agency; some in-house experience is great, especially if your work was immersed in Fenton’s community of clients – campaigns, issue advocacy, foundations and nonprofits.
  • A deep knowledge and passion for social impact and progressive issues.
  • Proven track record leading and mentoring teams, managing budgets, scoping projects and allocating staff
  • Demonstrated experience uncovering audience insights and developing strategy, leading the creative ideation process and helping to develop communications programming
  • Experience pitching a strategy and creative concepts to existing and prospective clients
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively
  • Fluent in social media strategy and a solid understanding of how to drive engagement across social channels
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

We require all employees to live within a 35-mile radius of any one of our four strategic hubs (New York, D.C, LA or SF).  You have the option to work remotely from your home and will travel to Company meetings/events as needed, or you can work from any one of our shared work spaces.
