Fenton Acquires Public Interest Communications Firm PR & Company

Merger Grows Fenton’s Work In Philanthropy, Education and EdTech Sectors;
Pat Reilly to Join Change Research as a Principal

Fenton, a founding member of the Collegium network, has acquired the Bay Area public interest communications agency PR & Company, expanding Fenton’s work in education, philanthropy and ed tech. PR & Co Founder Pat Reilly will become a Senior Strategic Consultant to Fenton.

PR & Company, founded in 1997, is a successful boutique communications firm serving a diverse client base of private, technology, non-profit and foundation clients. The heart of PR & Company’s work is in education and advocacy on behalf of women and children. Having served in high profile national and local political positions before launching PR & Company, principal Pat Reilly is a well-known thought leader in California and nationally, particularly in advocating for increased sophistication in education communication and advocacy.

“Pat Reilly is one of the most respected and talented public interest communicators I have ever met,” said Ben Wyskida, CEO at Fenton. “We are grateful to Pat for entrusting her clients to us, and excited to move forward with Pat providing counsel and strategy to Fenton clients.

PR & Co’s current clients include The Stuart Foundation, EdSource, WikiEducaton, Teachers Pay Teachers, Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation and the Kaufmann Fellows. This expands Fenton’s deep base of clients in education and philanthropy.

“Fenton was the first true social change agency, and has some of the deepest issue expertise in education, philanthropy and social change communications in the business,” sad Pat Reilly. “I’m excited about the chance to scale my social impact work with offices across the US and expanded digital and creative expertise.  I’m honored to be on the Fenton team”

Reilly’s announcement comes on the heels of founding Change Research, a public interest corporation offering fast, affordable and accurate political polling at a 90% discount on traditional polling. Change Research is working on races in New Jersey and Virginia this cycle, as well as with issue-advocacy non-profits across the country. Fenton is an exclusive communications partner of Change Research.
