Kimaya is an expert in strategy and message development for digital communications, integrated marketing and advocacy campaigns. Kimaya uses equal parts science, creativity and rigor to push the branding and digital world forward to take big ideas from vision to implementation. She seizes opportunities to drive narratives, build brand identities, draw insights from data, and tell stories – that inspire action, change behavior, and advance business goals for the social impact sector.
She has managed campaigns for global and national nonprofits, government agencies, trade associations and businesses. Prior to joining the Fenton team, Kimaya led global rebranding, digital strategy, fundraising, and external engagement efforts for major health and gender equity organizations. Kimaya has also worked with Ketchum Public Relations, where she served federal agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Environmental Protection Agency, and major brands such as the National Football League, Pfizer, FedEx and Hertz. Kimaya has supported the Rockefeller Foundation to develop a digital storytelling platform, Storytelling for Good and has also led storytelling trainings in India, Thailand, Kenya and the U.S. for the Foundation’s grantees and program staff.
Kimaya graduated from the University of Pune in India with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
