Bracing for the Live Video Arms Race

Grab your phone and start broadcasting to your followers

360 video isn’t the only video technique that’s poised to blow up in 2016. Following its soft launch in late 2015, Facebook has continued to expand its Live Video feature and is gearing up to make it available to Android users. Facebook has released some best practices recommendations, and we urge you to consider them when you adopt Live Video this year.

Not to be outdone, however, is Twitter, which owns Periscope. Starting this year, Periscope videos will begin playing automatically in Tweets, which offers users a more inclusive user experience and better integration between the platforms. Even Snapchat is in on the action with a rumored redesign that puts more focus on video.

Creating a live video campaign can be scary. Questions about content and production quality can be daunting, but it’s a way to immediately grab your audience’s attention and build more devoted ambassadors.
